Sam Funk is a founding member of Sims|Funk, PLC, a boutique law firm in Nashville which represents clients in complex business litigation matters across Tennessee and the United States.  Mr. Funk graduated with honors from Wake Forest University and cum laude from the University of Maryland School of Law. He is regularly recognized by such organizations as Benchmark Litigation, Chambers USA, Woodward/White: The Best Lawyers In America, the Nashville Business Journal Best of Bar, Mid-South Super Lawyers.

In addition to his work with The Trinity Forum, Mr. Funk has been active in a variety of nonprofit organizations.  Some of his nonprofit involvement has included:  Amazima Ministries, Inc., Wake Forest University, The Oak Hill School, Second Harvest of Middle Tennessee, First Presbyterian Church Nashville, the Nashville Bar Association and Leadership Nashville.  Mr. Funk has worked closely with the International Justice Mission in Kenya, India and Thailand.  Additionally, Mr. Funk has been involved in the International Criminal Court matter concerning former Sundanese President Omar al-Bashir and alleged war crimes in Darfur.
