We are a story-telling people – indeed, to be human is to be a seeker, as well as teller of stories. Stories help define our sense of purpose and meaning, provide a frame, words, and symbols to make sense of our experience; help us perceive and respond to what is real and true. The stories we believe and transmit shape not only our own imagination and beliefs, but also our social order – for good or ill. As such, discernment in the stories we consume, believe, and relate is essential to living wisely and well.

Our latest Bookclub Box theme “Telling Stories” offers three very different stories, which explore related questions of belonging and liberation, vice and virtue, grief and flourishing. and insights and observations on just such a question from three very different perspectives.
