Introducing:
The Trinity Forum Bookclub Box

“I would like to learn, or remember, how to live.”
– Annie Dillard

There are few activities more humanizing than good conversation around good books. In a time of division, loneliness, and addled distraction, a reading group offers an antidote: focused attention on stories and ideas that matter in the context of community. Such discussions enliven the spirit, enrich one’s life, and build friendships. In fostering habits of intellectual hospitality, book clubs broaden our world, deepen our empathy, and open us to greater wonder and understanding. The Trinity Forum is thrilled to support and encourage reading and discussion with Bookclub Box.

Bookclub Box makes it easy to host your own bookclub. Packed with discussion guides, hosting tips, playlists, and other resources, it makes launching and leading a reading group simple and straightforward. We’ll ship the box with everything you need to get started, either at home or virtually.

AVAILABLE NOW: TELLING STORIES
Order our new Bookclub Box with selections from Wendell Berry, Zora Neil Hurston, and Flannery O’Connor.

We are a story-telling people – indeed, to be human is to be a seeker, as well as teller of stories. Stories help define our sense of purpose and meaning, provide a frame, words, and symbols to make sense of our experience; help us perceive and respond to what is real and true. The stories we believe and transmit shape not only our own imagination and beliefs, but also our social order – for good or ill. As such, discernment in the stories we consume, believe, and relate is essential to living wisely and well.

Our latest Bookclub Box theme “Telling Stories” offers three very different stories, which explore related questions of belonging and liberation, vice and virtue, grief and flourishing. and insights and observations on just such a question from three very different perspectives.
